Thank you for visiting our registration page. I am Seiji Uehara and welcome you to the Tokyo Conference 2019.
This is our first international conference since we have started ASIS Japan Chapter more than 40 years ago. Some people say Japan is one of the safest countries in the world. However, perceptions can be misleading.
Huge earthquakes, raging typhoons, heavy rains, tsunamis and fires often destroy houses and infrastructure and threat human lives. Maybe one thing we can say is that Japan could be the most resilient country in the world.
At the same time, enterprises have to deal with not only such natural disasters but also so many business and security risks in this complex world. Now it is the time for the ESRM, or Enterprise Security Risk Management. ASIS endorses ESRM as the next step in the evolution of security management. We have a great speaker lineup with in-depth experience in ESRM. They are all well-experienced security professionals in their respective fields. This will be a great opportunity to benefit from their shared experiences.
You will be able to enjoy the Welcome Party at the Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba on March 4th, with a beautiful night view of the Tokyo skyline at one of the most reputable hotels in Tokyo. This will be a great opportunity to get to know our regional and international colleagues. After the conference on March 5, we will have another networking event near the conference venue. Both will provide ample networking opportunities for everyone.
We look forward to seeing everyone in 2019.
My kindest regards,
Godfried Hendriks CPP
